Edward Chu is an Associate Broker, who has worked with Manhattan Apartments, Inc. since 1995. He now enjoys the continuous success that a seasoned professional builds through years of experience. He graduated magna cum laude from Baruch College in Manhattan, with a B.B.A. in Marketing and Business. He then went into the international shoe business, where he worked for seven years. During this time, Edward bought and sold his first property in Manhattan. He discovered that being a native to downtown Manhattan and his experience as an international businessman gave him an innate understanding of how to negotiate sales transactions, and he decided to pursue real estate as his full-time occupation.
As a rental agent, Edward loves working with people and brokering the best deal possible for his clients. Through demonstrating trust, dependability, and long-term commitment, he also has become a valuable resource for many of New York City’s major landlords; and since 1999, he has been the sole broker for the largest residential complex in Manhattan, with approximately 12,000 apartments. He recently purchased several small buildings in Brooklyn, and has been a landlord for the past three years. Edward's personal experience as a professional investor, developer, property manager, and owner has made him an expert in New York City’s real estate industry.
A dedicated family man, Edward enjoys the personal and financial freedom that real estate has to offer and is delighted to have others benefit from the information he has acquired. He intends to continue to develop his rental business and hopes to build a large real estate portfolio for himself and his family. Although he is very serious about his business and the work he does for his clients, Edward is also warm, personable, and possesses a dry wit that makes every situation enjoyable.
