Hamilton Heights

Hamilton Heights

statue in ft. george This is the area in upper Manhattan from West 135th Street to West 145th bordered by Riverside Park to the west and Saint Nicholas Avenue to the east. Such cultural hubs as Alexander Hamilton’s home, City College, Harlem School of the Arts, Jackie Robinson’s Conservatory, and Riverbank State Park enhance the neighborhood and are within a short walk of each other. Express trains A and D will get you to mid-town in 15 minutes or less.

Apartments are predominantly pre-war and spacious however there is a dramatic increase in new construction and developments in the area offering more housing to those who wish to live in and enjoy this part of the city. Examples of this new construction can be found on www.thelangston.com.

Prices for rental and sale properties are still reasonable here compared to the rest of Manhattan. One-bedrooms for rent can be found for as low as $800/mo. but most are in the $800 to $1400 range, and Two-bedrooms run from $1200 to $2500, on the average, depending on street and condition. A 1-bedroom apartment can be bought for as little as 55k and 3-bedroom apartments for sale can be as high 2 million dollars.
