Bridget Smalley is the pulse of the rental marketplace at Manhattan Apartments, Inc. She directs over 150 rental agents regarding the details of every deal with the astute insight and agility that only a well-seasoned professional possesses. She is regarded highly by the agents, and they rely on her to guide them responsibly through each transaction. Landlords know her name and know that when she calls in an application, they can trust that the information she provides is true and accurate, and that the money for the apartment has been secured. It is Bridget's integrity and attention to detail that has forged these trusted relationships with landlords and helped to make MAI a leader in apartment rentals. In the high season, she often closes over 500 deals in a single month. Bridget is constant and dedicated and takes great pride in doing what she does well. Bridget was a math and science major with a minor in education, and began her career at NY Life as an analyst. In 1987, she was hired by MAI as a listings person. Within the year, she decided she preferred the fast pace of a being a rental agent and was the top performing agent in the company for the next five years. Singled out for her talent and ability, MAI asked her to join the staff as assistant to the rental director in 1992. Her contributions alone increased business significantly and by 1996 she was put in charge of the rental floor as Director of Rentals. Since then, the company has become a major force in the industry. In 2003, Bridget earned the title of Vice President and continues to close more deals than any rental manager in New York City.
